'93~124 ~300D 2.5 Turbo not spooling NEW to forum

Hi All, I just picked up a 93 MB 300D, 2.5 on a whim, not really knowing a lot about it, but a fairly competent backyard mech. I took a chance and bought it with a compression leak from 1 of the pre chambers. I think the owner thought it was a blown head gasket and thought better get rid of it. Lucky for me it was a fairly simple fix, as long as I had a few of the tools, like that special collar 100 point male socket. I can't believe MB thought best to have a metal prechamber just seat against an aluminum head and expect it NOT to leak, which we all know by now is a common problem. I used a little common sense and used a light coat of leak lock where the seat together and around the collar nut, then a bit where the injector meats the prechamber, threads, etc. Came out perfect! took a while to clean up all the coke, volcanic residue from the compression leak, but got it all cleaned up. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The car has/d some other issues, like won't shut off, shut off vacuum switch ontop of the pump is bad (common problem I hear). pump seems to be leaking from the bottom. >>>>>>>>>> I don't think the turbo is spooling, don't hear it. I read where there are several things like the ALDA, and the clogged vacuum feed port from the intake, and several other things. Can anyone point me more to a specific area or thing to check, do, please? I checked over all the hoses good, and trimmed a few ends and reinserted. There is that thing under the turbo, I guess that makes the waste gate work, a series of gates, switches, sensors. Appreciate any help! thanks! Frank in VA.
