Glad to see that you managed to find the parts you needed to fix the problem on your car. I was the OP in the thread you linked to. In my case, the brass part of the thrust bushing was completely worn down. Luckily, I came across a low-mileage 63k 300TD that donated its parts to my car. So far the problem has not returned on my car, and it is still purring happily along with good oil pressure.

Oh I was just going to post the link in the other thread!

It is working great, I am so happy to see nice oil flow out of the oil squirters. I am doing another trip on the 4th...I can't wait to do some hard freeway driving with the nice flow of oil now! I am starting to think it may be to early to condom the engine.

I believe you have narrowed things down for me, thanks! Please see my post OM617 Mystery Bolt ( OM617 Mystery Bolt? ). I have oil coming up from around what seems to be 121 in the diagram. I am suspecting the o-ring needs to be replaced. Might anyone know if this piece can be removed by itself to replace the o-ring?
Many thanks.

Do you have photos of where the thrust piece sits in your engine? My engine is a factory replacement and is a bit difficult to find info on. Thanks.
