UCA ball-joint not available?

For a 1983 300SD, anyone know if the upper-control-arm ball-joint is sold separately? Can't seem to find one on various parts sites - only the whole arm...rubber looks fine on all my bushings, so I'd like to replace only one side with a new ball-joint if possible.

Thanks - Dave

The Ball Joint is not replaceable. You buy the whole Control Arm as a unit.

The W116, W123 and W123 are all made that way.

If you look around you can find new old stock arms on eBay that do NOT come with the pair of rubber bushings. Supposes then you could re-use your bushings. But Lemforder control arm assemblies are inexpensive enough to consider just getting the new unit plus bushings.

What is the issue with the balljoints? If it's just torn boots, you can probably get boot kits from the dealer (they exist for the w123, that much I know for certain).

That's the good news. The bad news is that they will run you about 2/3 the price of the new complete arm assembly (Lemforder).
