I've just checked that number against what I found for a new bolt on my M102 and it is the same one!
Achtung - Das schweinhund baby benz thread This thicker washer is used for the longer new bolts. ![]() ![]() Check the length of your new bolts against the information in the FSM or the thread made by Chad to see if you need those washers or the older ones. The older part number is available to buy at the dealerships here in Holland and in Germany (as well as the "newer" thicker washers that go with the "newer" still same part number as before bolts)

I get the feeling that perhaps I've added to the confusion rather than helping with a way forward!
If that's the case I think it is important to make the following clear. I know that nine (9) of the bolts p/n 6159900212 originally came with the length of 119mm (see Chad's picture) I know that these bolts now come from the Mercedes dealership in a longer length. For this reason a thicker washer 1020160376 is sold to fix the "oh **** this is now too long" problem. ################ I can say for sure that if you have the new longer bolts (lengths longer than 119mm) for the part number 6159900212 items then you need nine 1020160376 washers to go with them. If your bolts are the same length as the first version(s) then you need the thinner washers => 1100160467 ######## Check the lengths of your new bolts to make sure you use the correct washers (As said before) If you don't you could be grinding the end of the bolt into a blind hole (in the block) and not actually be compressing the head gasket correctly.

I think that explains why they say you will need 9. And I think Leathermang is 100% correct with go thicker just in case. All bolts are new and a 1mm will not hurt anything with the other bolts. I am dropping this thread since I have 13 new washers en route...
