There are no Lemforder Motor Mounts that i can find for the 240D BUT the 300D Lemforder Motor Mounts will work on a 240D

There is some threads on that subject here and at benzworld. I only have the below one in my notes.
Using 300D Motor Mounts on a 240D (w123 chassis)
Comment from Post #1 between the pictures:
“So after verifying that 300D mounts can be used on 240D cars, I ordered Lemforder mounts from Phil for $26 instead of $134 for OE. I just got them today. Found that they were made in Turkey.”

My first shot at filling was with a Shore 70 urethane and it rattled like a solid mount. I did a quick test with un filled mounts and it was very smooth. Then filled those mounts with Shore 30 urethane and it was indistinguishable from stock. It's been nearly 100k miles and no sign of collapse.

...just a data point for consideration.
Mach4 - Thanks for the information . I used a harder Shore 80, so that would explain the vibration. The next time the mounts collapse, I will try the Shore 30. Right now I have a driveline vibration that seemed to pop up with the cold weather, so I am looking at everything

Shore 80??? Sheesh...you could have used concrete and gotten the same effect. If you're going to wait until they collapse again you've got a long wait...my guess would be around 2050 or 2060.
