Make glow plug light function with pencil plugs?

Hello, I recently changed out the old style glow plugs to the pencil ones and as a result the glow plug indicator light no longer lights up. Is there a way to make it work again with the new plugs?

This car has a sender unit with a ground connection that is supposed to connect to the last glow plug. As far as I know, there's no relay in this car as it has a pull starter, and the glow plug indicator light is not the saltshaker type. See pictures for illustration, thanks in advance

I was looking for the relay on the EPC program, couldn't find it. I also checked around in the engine compartment, but no relay there either. I think if there is one, it has to be under the dashboard.

The "pencil-type" glowplugs won't work with your preglow system.
Electrical scheme for "wire-type" glow plugs (as on your L 407 D) is below.

It needs to install relay for "pencil-type" glowplugs from w123/201/124 or retrofit "fast-preglow" kit (p/n BOSCH 0 250 201 955).

Oh well then, I guess I will leave it as is. The glow plugs are getting power and are working fine, the engine starts incredibly fast. I've been using the interior lamp as an "indicator" (brightness weakens when glow plugs are powered), and just counting to 10 seconds. I was thinking there maybe was some hack way to make it work, hehe Thanks for your time anyway, and may I ask you where you found that wiring sheet?

Well it starts pretty easy without glowing too, and I haven't adjusted the valves yet

Only 53300 km on the clock, so the engine is probably not going to die anytime soon

From the norwegian civil defense, it was used by them as an ambulance according to the previous owner Originally this car has a nice grey color, but they just painted over it with orange and it's coming off in some places, revealing the original pearl grey. Someday it will get a full repaint
