1984 SD Transmission finally shifting smoothly.
It might seem easy to create a good shifting vacuum and bowden location on these old cars but it's kinda tough the first time.
Now I need to change the fluid and filter. I also found an older mechanic who will allow me to use his lift long enough to drain the torque converter and replace the filter. I've seen the list of acceptable transmission fluids but I can't find it now. What brands and types fluid is acceptable you the experienced folks on this forum? I appreciate the help.

You need Dexron II (III if you can't find II) from a decent brand.
