There it is.

Thank you

I replaced my old KYB with Sachs. Sachs is an OE supplier to MB. They are slightly less expensive than Bilsteins but have restored the road feel of my 300CD. The KYB did not "feel" right to me.

Bilstein only. Only HDs on my SDs but that can start arguements. Regardless, Bilsteins always work.

Cheaper than something that will fail per in the long run. Working shocks help keep the steering safe.

Replace all of the front end bushings and ball joints and it will steer as new and as aMercedes should. (Better wrench if you go that far.)

I haven't driven enough to know bilsteins will last 100k but I'm inclined to believe it. I always throw kyb on w123s I get because they are cheap and usually make a huge improvement over the dead bilsteins that come with the car. Maybe i'll splurge on bilsteins for the next one.

Now that you mention Heavy Duty bilsteins.. when I did the shocks on my siler 95 e300d I did HD bilsteins, more expensive but two shocks were dead on that car.. and those HD bilsteins made it feel like a track car... my current white 95 e300d needs front shocks bad! I keep putting it off but i feel it in every turn. I'll probably do bilsteins with those
