I have the 12 inch long by 8 inch high model of that from the Franklin Mint.
The flywheel turns and looks like it will power the wheels if put in gear...

That is NOT the world's first car. Look up the Marcus car that pre-dates the Benz by a decade. Never mind Cugnot (sp?) in France who was a century earlier though steam powered.
