Nice. Love the SDL. Check the coolant reservoir for oil as the HGs are weak....

First things first... OE Becker radio or aftermarket? Anything coming on like lights?

Antenna won’t work without radio. How is the fuse? If fuse is ok, you’ll have to pull it and start looking for 12v, etc.

No issues with the head gaskets on those. That is the 86-87 D/SDL. The 350 is the rod bender.

It is thought by many that the rod bending comes from partially failed head gasket leaking coolant into the cylinder eventually causing partial hydro lock. I con't know if checking coolant for oil is particularly effective with regard to the bent rods.

Agree. I beg to differ about hgs only being an 86-87 thing. Have a 91 350sd in the shop now getting a new hg as I started seeing oil cross over. No bent rods, everything checked out otherwise....

The '91's have a 4-piece radio setup. There's the head unit in the dash, a radio receiver in the passenger-side trunk behind the carpet, and 2 amplifiers behind the rear seat. Both the head unit and the radio receiver in the trunk have fuses in them. Check them first. Don't be surprised if the radio is junk. I spent nearly a week futzing around with mine before I said "screw it" ripped the POS out and installed an aftermarket radio. Becker can repair the radio, but they want all 4 pieces at $150-175 for EACH PIECE and they won't touch it unless you send in all 4. Thanks, but no thanks, I can buy something WAY better and WAY more reliable for far less.
