swapped a 3.47 into my 115 240D with a 3.96

And I would highly recommend it!

Couldn't seem to figure out why my 115 240d stick felt like such a dog compared to my 82 240D auto..

I was under the car servicing it and realized the W115s had an even higher rear end ratio than the W123s

So I swapped in a 3.47 from a 123 300d and find it to make for a much better drive!

1st gear gets you to about 15mph where it feels "right" to shift into second and is much more usable.

I used a online rpm calculator and if its correct it looks like it would have dropped my 65mph engine rpm to 2970

Previously the engine rpm at 65mph would have been 3389

@ 70 mph 3198rpm vs 3650rpm

Most noticeable is that the engine isn't screaming so loudly on the highway.
