Take your foul attitude and SHOVE IT.

YOU came on this forum asking for advice. Nate was the one who asked you about your tire, he's a genuinely compassionate and interested party and tends to take helping others out very personally. IN NO WAY was he trying to be rude, insensitive, or crass.

The questions you ask, the blatant disregard for the information given to you in a concise and professional manner by a multitude of people who are genuinely trying to help you, and the personal attacks that come out of EVER SINGLE THREAD you start are getting old. You come across as a forum troll. Whether or not you're being genuine remains unclear, but perhaps it is YOU who should stop being a "real rude jerk".

Paying attention to responses and staying ON TOPIC

This.

Lindajane, you need to carefully read the responses. The answer to your questions have ALL been provided, multiple times.

You also need to read the forum guidelines so you better understand how to start and maintain a thread. The theme needs to be retained throughout the thread - the purpose is not only to help you but to help other readers in the future, and if you change the topic and IGNORE SOUND ADVICE AND KIND OFFERS TO HELP, you will not make any friends here on the board.

To recap what you've done and what you need to do:

* You have purchased a 14" TIRE from Wal-Mart. Google what a tire is versus what a wheel/rim is. Tire is made of rubber and wears out, where a wheel is made of metal and bolts to the car directly. Was there a picture of the correct Bundt wheel/rim for your car attached to the tire when you made your purchase from Wal-Mart? No. So why would you expect that they would include this when the ad just says "tire"? The tire you purchased fits any car with a 14" wheel, but not every 14" wheel fits your Mercedes. No one ships a tire with a wheel on it unless requested and paid for.

* So now you have a tire, but you still need a 14" Mercedes "Bundt" wheel/rim, which Alec300SD has very kindly offered to sell you for cheap. He's local! Take him up on the offer! I have met him in person, and he is a very kind Benz enthusiast with no goal other than to help people. He even offered to bring his wife to chat with you while he helps you FOR FREE.

* Then, take the tire from Wal-Mart and the wheel/rim to any tire shop and ask them to mount and balance the tire on the wheel/rim. This can cost as little as $10 but certainly less than $50 no matter where you go. This is a well-understood process that any tire shop will be able to help you with.

By the way, if you search this forum (or the internet in general) there are many many DIYs with pictures to help you with your other problems (changing tail light housings, turn signal housings, etc). If you find that you cannot complete a DIY repair according to the instructions, you need to move on to getting outside help, whether that be from your (clearly absent and disinterested) mechanic or one of the forum members who has offered to help you - again - FOR FREE.

We have a community of folks that like to help each other out here, and especially new folks that need a hand understanding the nuances of their cars. If you ignore the sound advice people give you, change topics, and don't clearly articulate what your problem is and what you've done, then you'll wear out your welcome pretty quickly.

By the way, there is also benzworld.org, but you'll find that unless you take note of what I stated above, you won't have much luck with them either.

I was having a conversation with people and replying as comments were made.
I was not rude. I was conversing. That guy was very rude so you shove it.
It's obviously a man's forum and women are not invited. If Nate is so wonderful, why did he leave me such a rude message. My last response was to someone who asked me a question. And I took peoples advice, so I don't know What you're talking about, then someone offered to sell me a tire, and I relayed that...SO **** OFF DIESEL...Go back to bed with your mother, where you belong

The "Community" on here is meant to attack women in particular. I did not think it mattered HOW many questions I asked. And I was commenting to be friendly, because I thought the
people on this thread were. So forgive me for being nice, and being friendly. You are a bunch of idiots, and If I have problems in the future...I'll just use my boyfriend's account. He told me You guys were idiots and he was right.

So ladylike. What a golden tongue. Clearly this forum is graced by your mere presence upon it.

Get real.

Listening to advice? Really? Let's start with the tire question:
From way back in 2019: Tire - W123 Size
And yet here we are still discussing it with all the same information from a year ago. Yep you listened well.

How about the turn signal?
2018: Car hit, Guidance appreciated...
Replace Left turn light...do I need, etc...
And here we are still discussing it in 2020. I guess that advice you listened to was really useful.

Did someone mention paint correction?
2017: Not Strong to Polish - Rent polisher?
PPolish Old Paint - I'm not Strong Enough - Help
2018: Polishing Novice - Advice appreciated
2020: Can I put a Clear Coat on Faded paint to make it glossy?

And who can forget the epic struggle with the window switch:
Front Power Windows won't go up 1983 300D
Window Switches...quick question..I hope
Window Switch Placement?

Most people are grateful to have other people chime in and give them advice, especially when they asked for it. Even moreso when it's useful advice. You seem to like to pick fights and then claim that everyone gangs up on you because you're a woman. Get over yourself. Nobody cares what sex you are, it's all about how you conduct yourself online.

You're rude, ungrateful, and you're quick to throw personal insults when someone calls you out on your B.S.

If you have no intention of following the advice of the people here when you ask for it, go find a different forum and waste their time.

You're just a boy's club. I've been Nothing but friendly. I have NO doubt about how most of you must treat the women in your life, and I feel for them, and I'd say to them, get out, there is help.

Don't look at it!...very easy. And WHO says I'm not grateful for advice?
WHERE do I say, I'm not grateful for advice, or NO, you're wrong.
I've never said that, That is why I ask questions. That is why anyone
asks questions on this forum. So I suppose Others don't take your advice
either, because they ask questions, Why don't you attack them?...go for it,
Oh, right, they are a man and not so easy to bully.

picking fights

Lindajane,

I hate to point out the obvious, but do you know the saying "Every family has an alcoholic, and if your's doesn't, then it's you?"

This has nothing to do with gender, or a supposed "boy's club." We use handles online to remain anonymous - what makes you think I am a man?

Anyone who has read the forum rules or participated in any thread other than their own can present better online posture. Even if you don't bother to read threads other than your own or care that this is a community based on RECIPROCAL help, you should at least wise up and realize that when asking for free advice you should do so with a smile on your face. Broken records that can't use the search function wear out their welcome on any forum, automotive or otherwise.

You are acting like a child, throwing a temper tantrum when others get tired of OFFERING SOUND, FREE ADVICE BASED ON REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE and quizzically ask if you are serious or trolling us.

Multiple folks repeating themselves until they are blue in the face gets old. I am not surprised someone finally told you how it really is. Go hide behind your boyfriend's account. We'll figure out it's you...

Excuse me.. Did you see the Post that nate posted to me?...That was rude,
or that does not count, right. Only how i responded to it?. He was mean-spriited and
rude and anyone who is not in your good ol boy's mercedus club would see that...
tell me before his nasty post, what did I say to warrant that remark. Really
so belligerent behind the keyboard. You should all be ashamed of yourselves,
and I'm not going to be on this forum anymore, obviously, but I'm going to write management and ask them to look at the posts. You are a bunch of 12 year old
bullies who hate women. And No I don't think another woman has posted on this thread.

Can you ask "management" to do something about the scammers when you write to them, please?

Yes. Everyone hates women. That's it for sure. It had nothing to do with you being a self-centered, egotistical, NUTJOB. Congratulations, you're even more delusional than HuskyMan/MercLover. I pity your boyfriend, he must have the patience of Job.

Yeah and I admire any women or men in your life, I'm sure they are used to
abuse for defending themselves...How Dare They. Back to the good ol boys club,
take your rifles and go hunting since I'm sure that fits the hate you carry around.

Do you need directions to the door? I'll even hold it so it doesn't hit your ass on the way out.
