Solid band hose clamp removal

Has anyone run into these on the newer CDI engines? No obvious way to remove them, I tried pulling pretty hard on the hoses but no go. How do these hoses come apart?

I think you are right, Mercedes wants you to buy the whole assembly instead of parts for it.

My Chevy Astro Van also had a hose that you were supposed to buy the whole assembly. Not just a Mercedes thing.

One of the types of clamps for PEX residential water hoses are solid like that.
