The plastic ball on the original has a collar on the front that prevents it from pivoting around. I don't know what the other versions look like other then in Photos so I cannot comment on them.
Attached is a pic showing the collar which is part of the plastic ball.
I can't remember if it was 2019 or 2018 I replace mine with a new one. I just did this because I was curious to see what badgator did with his and the PVC parts.
Also the real thing has been out of stock for several months.
