Fair enough. Although I thought the extra fire potential (after prep) would save me a bit of stress with adhesive vs. welding.

I need to get a decent MIG Welder to get this done. Will update the tread eventually when I get to the rust work.

Check ebay, craigslist, etc for mig setups that aren't penetrating or don't work. Often they simply need a new rectifier and you'll end up getting a decent rig for cheap.

Do not buy a non working used one with the newer arc generation method. They are pretty well all electronic.

I will be able to get access to this Mastercraft (Mastercrap we call it here in Canada) welder. Looks like I can hook it up to gas and run a different wire. Will do some research for the best setup with this thing
