see cam timing marks w/Borescope??

anyone had success with using a borescope to see Cam Marks so not have to remove Valve Cover and disturb it's famously notorious to leak Cover seal?

Yes, searched first. If this is covered in a thread you know off... please send me in the right direction.

Appreciate in advance

What are you working on? It might be doable but if the purpose is to check valve timing precisely I don't think the angle of view would be sufficiently precise.

ruff look to verify that all things pretty much appear to be lined up showing IP is at Baseline setting at least. AKA cam gear mark & tower ruffly aligned- while everything else is lined up (RIV Blade Centered, Harmonic Balancer Marks at 15ish, Marks on outside IP aligned w/ Front case. )

or could tell one if chain has chance of stretch. Won't tell ya how much stretch. or how many teeth off . but thinking it should offer enough input on if one should investigate deeper.

I have not used any for that purpose but I don't see why not...and it's a handy thing. You don't need a fancy one , the cheapest rifle borescope would work, they have LED lights ,plug into a smartphone or tablet...just tape/ziptie securely to a flexible/adjustable magnetic pickup tool for easier "navigation".

I tried. its a NO Go. Someday I will learn how to weld aluminum. or if I take this one off I will measure out best I can where a port in the Valve Cover would go; then have an Aluminum bung welded in and install a brass or aluminum cap there. tada. Easy check port.
