Can I vote three times. My 220D had 260,000 when I sold it. The 300SDL has 275,000 and the 300TD has 175,000.
I have the 250,000KM lapel pin, this is my 7th Mercedes. And as way posted it does look alittle cheap. But the price was right. Dave

randal, sadly no.... nothing has been done yet. i got a great estimate of $1348 which includes a new wheel... insurance covers it under comprehensive but haven't acted on it yet... ive just been so busy. thanks for asking though. i do need to take care of it before it rusts.

I will be turning 200,000 miles shortly and have the paperwork to fill out. Need tot get to a dealer for verification.
I did not know about these awards when I had my 190E 2.6 1987. I put over 450,000 miles on that one before trading it in on the diesel. Joe.

I got the 250K award on an 87 300E when I owned it. The 99 doesn't have enough miles yet, but at 89K it's getting there fast.

I recently got my250K km badge and it is on the grill. The car has 231,000 miles and should reach the 500K km (335K mi.) in about five years. And YES that badge will be displayed!!!

Here is the picture of the grill, the picture of the whole front end didn't turn out very well with the car in the garage and the light behind it....
 I really should just buy a compression tester and find which car has the better numbers and keep that one. I have a feeling the 84 is doing better in that aspect. Then get the mileage badge for whichever I decide to keep, to much of a pain to upkeep three cars for myself. Then again it is always so hard to let go of a good car....

mileage award question
Hello group,
Reading this I see our car definately would qualify, she's a 1987 300SDL with 242K..But did I read somewhere on this thread that the owner has to have put all those miles on it? I bought the car used...Thanks! John

No. You do not have to put all the miles on the car for the car's award. There is a place on the form for you to indicate how many miles you have put on the car. The forms are available at your dealer. I do not know if they still do this, but several years ago I received awards for the car as well as driver specific award. The recent awards I received are car dependant. For clarification, the awards are 250,000km (155,000 mi), 500,000km (310,000 mi), and 1,000,000km (620,000 mi). Drive on!

Take your VIN and mileage information with you when you go to the dealer so you can fill out the form there. The form requires a signature of a representative from a dealer. This will save you a trip there. Get 2 filters, save 2 trips! -Scott
