switchover valve question
Does the line from the banjo/intake go to the TOP of the switchover valve then from the BOTTOM to the ip/alda or is it the other way around? or does it matter? Thats the way I assembled mine after cleaning the line and it seems to be fine. The reason I ask is that I recently looked at a vacuum diagram in a parts catalog (Performance Products) they show the line going to the BOTTOM of the switchover valve from the intake and the out from the TOP to the alda. Anyone know which is correct? Also, is that a setting control on top of the switchover valve or just a cap?(black plastic) Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been covered -couldn't find anything in the search. Bryan

Are you asking about the overboost control valve?
Is this really called the switch-over valve? I am not sure if the orientation is that critical with regard to the lines. I do know that it is critical to have the electrical connection in-tact, This is the insurance that the engine will not overspeed on turbo boost. I will check on one of mine today and re-post. I know that on the overboost valve, the cap is just that. It allows the lines to vent to atmosphere. Robert |

Robert, You might be right, I thought I saw it labeled "switchover valve" somewhere, but maybe "overboost control valve" is more accurate. Either way it's the valve between the intake and the alda. By the way, mine is 603 engine ('87 124) I'm pretty sure it's similar to yours. Thanks for the help. Bryan
