Noise coming from Climate Control Unit

Yesterday while I was drivng with A/C on, I heard some strange noise coming intermittently on and off from the climate control push button unit.
Any body has any idea what was it?

Thank you

What kind of noise? If it is random, occasional clicking noises, it is coming from the many relays inside the unit and the vacuum solenoids behind it. If it is something else, then let the troubleshooting begin

Yes, I believe it is coming from the relays or vacuum solenoids inside the climate control unit. Somehow I never heard that kind of noise before. May be one of the relays or solenoids is going bad pretty soon.

Thanks

Steve

There are no vacuum solenoids inside the unit itself, only electrical relays. I believe there are five or six of them. The vacuum solenoids (also called switch-over valves) are mounted outside the pushbutton unit inside the dash.

Yes, clicking noises are normal. Especially if you have it on total automatic, i.e., the temp control is between min and max and the blower is on autom. As long as it is doing what it is supposed to, you are should be ok.
