Looking at a 1981 240D to buy

I am looking at 240D to buy. It has 290k miles on it. It has a 4 speed stick, AC and the interior has the Mercedes Leather (Thick Vinyl) on seats

What would be a "fair offer" for this car? It runs OK, has some rust, steer stright and tight and interior not to ratty

BTW I'm new to posting here, been lurking for while and looking forward to, hopefully purchasing my first MB diesel car.

1987 Chevy Caprice W/ 5.0l V8 4dr(died of iron worm syndrome)
