glow plug reamer usage

A friend of mine just gave me a glow plug reamer (made by Baum Tools). My question is, how do I use it? Obviously I thread it into the glow plug opening.
Do I screw it in once and then out -or numerous times?
Do I grease the tip of the reamer to catch any carbon?
How often do I use it? Only when replacing the glow plugs?

When changing glow plugs, simply place it in the hole and rotate it. If soot buildup is present it will feel mushy at first with not metal to metal feel. Once the goo is removed, you will feel metal to metal contact and it's time to quit.

Simple as that.

Good luck with it,

I put grease in the groove that runs the "length" of the reamer. The grease is supposed to catch the carbon that gets broken off. Then spin the engine to puff out whatever falls into the pre-chambers.
