I would get the biggest automatic transmission cooler you could find and mount it in front of your radiator. Then you hook your hot water return from the aftercooler to it and then the cold water return from the trany cooler back to your reservoir. I used an electric sprayer pump from the local tractor supply, it has a high duty cycle, flows like 6gpm free flow and only costs $80. I doubt the flow on the heater pump is probably even over 2gpm, but I could be wrong. Where are you going to mount your water tank in the trunk?? I guess your other option since that core is so big as you could fab it with a large shell so that it held the most water you could get in it and still make it fit. It could be your reservoir and cooler, then you could use the trany cooler to help prevent it from getting heat soaked. A good air to air would be simpiler, we just need a longer front end to make it fit and look nice.

Thanks for the confirmation Doc. I really didn't think it would even be close, but it was a nice dream anyways.LOL I looked at air to water and air to airs and I didn't think there was enough space to really do either of them well so I am going to just use water injection instead. I know water injection well and it will keep things cool and makes a nice power increase.

I picked up my manifold off of ebay for like 15 bucks (intake)
I also have another turbo, though the one on my car is modified so I want to take care of it ![]() I thought about water injection but since the w126 body has a lot of space (with the I-5) I figured I'd try this out first. That way I have more options later on when I want more power ![]() |

The 300D turbo OM603 should do 0-60mph in 10-11 second in stock form, if it's running properly. No need to mess with upshifts, just make sure it's shifting at ~4800rpm for each full-throttle upshift. Otherwise, turn up the full load and keep an eye on EGT's, and make sure the ALDA is adjusted correctly.
