Help indentify a hose

I was poking around under the hood and found a hose that feels rather soft. Figuring I should replace it I tried to identify it. I was using a Performance Products catalog as a guide, but this hose is not shown. This hose runs from the back of an aux water pump that is under the W/S fluid res., straight up and then curves sharply towards the engine. It attaches to a hard line immediately under the intake manifold. The hard line it attaches to goes straight to the engine, between #5 and #6 cyl. I have a MB part number of 124 832 49 94. I tried looking it up at "Parts Shop", but to no avail. In PP's catalog they show this aux pump, but with only 1 hose that has curves, coming out of it, whereas I have 2. One goes like I said and the other goes straight up and into the firewall leading into the passenger compartment. Any help would be appreciated.

Rick,

I know the hose you are talking about because I just removed and sold my aux water pump with the hoses attached. However, I can't identify it by name. I'd just try to snatch one from a junk yard or something. I sold mine attached or I'd drop it in the mail.

The hose that you are talking about may be the one that goes from the Auxiliary Pump to the windshield washer resevoir.

It is used to heat-up the windshield washer fluid.

I know the hose you're talking about and I don't know what it's called. The '87 cars don't have a windshield washer heater so it isn't that. Call Phil at PartsShop and I'm sure he can get you the right hose. I'm sure they aren't terribly expensive.

As every pump needs an inlet and an outlet, I would say this is the inlet hose. The "outlet" hose goes straight up from the top of the pump and goes towards the windshield. Whereas this other hose comes off the end of the pump. It makes a 90 deg bend goes up to a hard pipe just under the intake manifold. The pipe goes to the engine. The PP catalog shows a hose in the area of this aux pump, but the one htey show is straight, whereas this one is form fitted.
