The 85 300SD from original owner ( my Dad) Original, engine, tranny, rear diff.
214,835 miles. I need to go through the 3 inch thick file to see if the timing chain has been replaced though. It's about that time.

266,700 on the '86 300sdl...however, the motor is much less (around 170k) since it was replaced w/a crate motor in '98 when the PO cracked the pan.

Around 210k on the '80 euro 300d 4 speed.

Can't remember the mileage on the '78 300cd (wife's weekend car) as I haven't driven it in a few weeks, but I believe its around 279k now.

Almost 261K

1979 300SD ... not quite 129,000 miles.

Original engine, transmission, etc.

I run 20% biodiesel @ minimum. She likes 100% biodiesel better.

My MB herd

85 300SD 455,000 miles
87 300TDT 440,500 miles
84 190D 202,000 miles engine has 295,000-engine bought at 140K, wrecked and transplanted to running car with bad engine in last 6 months
92 300D 199,500 miles
93 300D 440,500 miles

none consume oil, the 93 300D & 85 300SD have oil leaks keeping a wet diaper tray sheild

Rotella 15W40 oil @ 10K change intervals.

270,000 on my '80 240D. The engine seems strong enough but automatic transmission is flaring when cold. It must have been replaced at some point though because it looks pretty clean and shifts alright for the age. For $600 you can't find a better first car :D

250,000, bought it with 170k. Engine runs great, tranny shifts well, paint is decent, most everything works.

I recently did the ip o-rings and plastic fuel lines, battery and new tires.

I have some nagging little things to fix like the antenna, climate control lights, exhaust tip, alignment wasn't done right, a couple rust spots etc... Probably needs injectors rebuilt. I haven't needed to change glow plugs, starts faster than a gasser no matter how cold it is!

I use it several times a day and it has been rock solid. Love it!
