Yet another glow plug relay question.

Ok, if key is in the on (glow) position... yet glow plug light only goes on for about 4 seconds (with the rest of the dash lights) and then it goes out... so I go under hood (with key still in 'on') and I go to glow plug relay. I unplug the smaller of the two plugs and I hear the relay click -- when I plug it back in I hear it click again.

What does this mean (if anything)? Is my relay still good? Just bad glow plugs?

Thanks GD

OMG, nobody answers in 4 minutes so you bump it?!!!

The relay is fine, but just turning the light off too soon. Wait 10 seconds after the light goes out.

Hey! I didn't bump it!! I clicked "reply" instead of "new post" for my other post!!!! Geee! Give a guy a break!:p

I'm going to test one of the wires that comes out of the harness with my meter to see if it juices...

P.S. I am in the process of removing the "Green Wire" system for those of you that remember.

I was wondering what the smaller plug on the relay is. I know the bigger one supplies current to the glow plugs. My 240D has this problem where the relay shuts down prematurely. I wonder if it has anything to do with the smaller plug.
