Jared, I see that you believe all you read, and I don't think I'm going to bother responding to your posts anymore because they are pretty much ridiculous. Yes, I have a larger 4" exhaust on my truck, and exhaust temps MAYBE dropped 25 degrees from the factory 3.5" to the MBRP 4" that I have on there now. I am in regular contact with several leading diesel tuners, and have beta tested for edge and quadzilla, logging tons of data. You can believe all you like in the sponsor-written/influenced (for the most part) diesel articles in diesel power. Exhausts may offer a tiny horsepower gain if you are already making so much more power than stock that you are being choked by the diameter of the stock exhaust, however that is RARELY the case, typically not until you cross the 550-600hp at the wheels mark, with serious modifications. My truck is in that range now, with a full billet trans, 180hp tuner, twin turbos, and many more mods. Adding exhaust SOP wise just made more noise.. Believe what you want though... and in the context of this thread, I've talked to a few E300 turbodiesel owners that have put exhaust systems on their cars, and noticed no gains whatsoever other than noise. Have a nice day, and enjoy your powerstroke..I'll look for you in the rearview mirror trying to avoid the smoke clouds
