Injector return lines (?)
Was putting some new glow plugs last night on my SD(what fun that was!
) Then I started the engine to make sure everything fired off ok(it did). I was looking the engine over to make sure everything was tight, ect, while the engine was running. Then I noticed fuel was dripping from one of the small hoses that jumpers from one injector to the other. I assume they are the excess fuel return lines. When I wiggled it, I got more than just a drip!! Shut the engine down fast. Pulled the line off, and the end was all rotten and splitting. Checked another one, and saw the same thing. So, my question. Is this hose anything special? Doesn't apper to need to be high-pressure hose, but assume it needs to be something like a fuel line-type hose. It has a cloth outer covering, which I don't recall ever seeing on standard auto parts store fuel line.
