HEX bolt giving trouble...

I am disconnecting my engine from the car, but Im having trouble with one HEX left which is very hard to get to, but I manged. The major problem is getting it off, I pushed Pushed , Pulled. nothing wont budge,(sprayed WD-40 also nothing) Any idea what to Do, my last option is using a huge air gun!! POWER!! but im afraid....

I am disconnecting it from I think the trany, Its a huge Circular part, with like 7 regular 17 mm bolts and like about 3 Hex bolts.

Is there any way to heat it up? I don't use WD40 unless I want to displace water (Water Displacement trial #40), I normally use liquid wrench (non-flammable so I can use the torch later ) on seized parts.

But WD-40 is so efficient at torching those pesky black widows!

(Yes, I know a guy who did that once...and ruined his router table in the process)

And an excellent (non-ether) starting aid too.

BenzBoy8,

What you need is a hot acetylene torch and a little less timidity.

Works every time.

Pulling Enging/Tans

I found it much easier to pull the engine and transmission as an assembly, then pull the trans off the back of the engine once it's out of the car. It might sound like more work, but it's actually a time saver and knuckle saver.

"New" WD40!

You guys must still have the old WD40. The new stuff is NON-FLAMMABLE! (Ask me how I know!) It didn't work at all when I tried to start the the Lawn Boy mower after it had sat for a while.

Perhaps, the Liquid Wrench I use is in a different bottle and may be a little more money but if torching around rubber parts sometimes I use it to stop fires from happening! Up until a year or so ago I never seen it before, it is in a green bottle.
