Is there any way to remove the speedometer face?

I need help.
Is there any way to remove the speedometer needle so I can remove the face? I decided to try to fix my stuck odometer and now I'm having a tough time realigning the numbers. I tried to do the job just like suggested by a few members but I'm a big klutz when it comes to delicate things like the speedometer. I think the easiest way to fix the numbers now is to take the face off but I can't pull off the needle. Are there any suggestions? I'm going to keep trying to fix the numbers with the face on until I can get some suggestions or until I break something else on the speedometer.
I can sure use your guys help.

I believe when you take off the needle to remove the plate you have to recalibrate the speedometer again.

I did the same thing, patience is your best friend on this job.

I'm glad I used my patience on putting the odometer numbers back in line than on trying to get the needle off. I've got it almost back together and working. I hope the odometer shaft doesn't get loose again.
