Below is the link, and the description.

BTW, Kent's stuff works well.

Early Automatic Climate Control Coversion Kit
Item # COMCKU-ECC

COMCKU - FITS THE FOLLOWING: 116, 107 and 123 Chassis For use to convert 1977 to 1980 automatic climate controls to a manual system. If your heat has failed again and you don't want to spend another $400 for a climate control servo maybe it is time to convert to a manual system. It won't be as nice as automatic, but at least you will have heat when you need it. This kit comes with a new manual control valve, hose section, splice fitting, four german hose clamps, and a 5 foot cable and complete instructions on how to properly install this kit yourself.
Just to review: The servo stays in place with the vacuum lines and wiring plugged in. You route the coolant adapters directly under the servo and bypass the servo coolant chamber completely, so if your servo has been leaking it will solve that problem. Remember this is an "econofix" and with that there are sacrifices. You will lose all your "automatic" temperature control functions. The air conditioning will still work but you will only be able to switch it on and off manual. It will no longer hold a "set" temperature. On the plus side you WILL get heat when you want it and you will be able to shut it off when you don't. Your other option is a new servo and amplifier and you know what that means...$$$$.

The servo, monovalve, heater control valve, or whatever whoever wants to call it today tends to get stopped up.
FWIW, the Evil Servo is not the same device as a monovalve.

That looks like a simple fix!
Does anyone have a pic by chance of how that is plumbed under the servo?

Simple

Just runs underneath, on/off valve on one side, hose on the other.

I guess the valve would be on the same hose as the Aux water pump (engine side of servo), and the other bypass would be on the fender side?

Does anyone know what would happen with all those vac lines if I removed the old servo? Jeez, there's a lot of em

Sure would free up lotsa space for veg oil filters and heaters and such...

Oh, I wonder if I found an old W123 manual climate control face plate for the column, how hard that would be to make functional...

One of these days, I plan to do exactly that...and, in eager anticipation, I have scrounged two complete sets of manual controls plus I have another set of disconnected pieces scattered all over the inside of my parts car. But, this is definitely one of those projects with a back burner status.

It will be some effort to get all the vacuum actuators pulled out and run the control cables along with some electrical conjuring to get the fan speed control going but, in the long haul, it would be well worth it IMO.

I am right behind you R Leo,
Sounds worth it to me!
I will begin actively seeking out the parts this weekend, if anyone out there has 'em, give me a holler!

ACC confusion

Sorry for more questions on this, but in Texas your AC is everything! My starting point is an '80 300TD that has had the ACC bypassed. As stated, toggle for compressor and fan. I have no idea what the problem is with my ACC and why it was bypassed, but I have seen the soldering fix on the ACC and tried to perform this fix. Problem is, other that the two connectors on either side of the ACC unit, I don't know what else has been 'modified', other that the wires to the blower. All my vents blow; dash, defrost and feet at the same time. The aux. pump for the coolant also is unplugged. Haynes doesn't get me there, other than the schematic, but I don't know where most of the relays and components are from the diagram. Any way yall could point me would improve upon the circles I'm traveling in now.
