This is common when the interior of the rubber brake hose colapses. If the rubber brake hose is old. Replace them, they will act like a one way valve.

That happened to me on a Toyota about 1979... sure hard to diagnose back before the internet because the outside of the lines looked just fine...

Definitely replace the hoses, but when two brake calipers lock at the same time, either front or back, the master cylinder is the suspect. This happened to me on the back brakes, and after replacing all the calipers, hoses, brake pads, and still having them lock up, I changed the master cylinder and the brake lockups went away. Plus, changing the master cylinder is pretty easy...
