Arrested Development

I'm psyched to be contributing to this thread, as I've started to see MBs everywhere now. A guy in a beautiful 560 let me out of my street the other day.

I don't know if anyone watches, but on Arrested Development the family car is a 420SEL I believe. Definitely a 420, might have the letters wrong though. It's in a good number of episodes, like when Lucille gets into the accident, and when they're kids and Michael drops his ice cream in the back seat, but I couldn't really read the model until the episode when Buster hides in the trunk to try to escape to Mexico to avoid going into the Army.

Just adding this to the list.

~Brian

In the latest Top Gear episode (Season 14, ep 2) there is footage of both w126 and w123 crash tests as sort of "stock" footage. Might be diesel, might not be but they are MBs!

Once is a chick flick musical, well done actually. It's a 300TD. Premise of the movie is that this girl and guy cut an indie record. The producer ends up liking what he hears, and after a marathon two day recording session he takes the group to the beach in his car. I think they used the TD because they needed to move about 8 people in one vehicle. Had the fold down seats in the back.

In the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (1 & 2) there are numerous w115's and W123's. Funning thing is they all have w124 interiors. Again, numerous sightings of both models in Blood Diamond (Leo DiCaprio).

Dan Aykroyd drives a blue 300SD in the Great Outdoors. Hes the white collar snob and John Candy is the humble bumble.

The Great Outdoors car was an 86 560 SEL, not a 300 SD. Check out imcdb.org
