617 head specifications

Does anyone have a cutaway diagram of a 617's head? It is potentially possible to make it into a cross-flow head with inlet/exhaust piping that aims toward the cylinder?

Only if you make your own from scratch!

If your planning to do that you might as well make it a 20 VALVE (4 valves per cylinder), You might want to study a VOLVO 5 cylinder head (cheaper with 20 Valve setup)... They are as close as you can get for a cross flow head for a 5 cylinder with 20 valves... Or even a OM602 head (which is expansive with 10 valve setup) its very close to a OM617 head with crossflow...

Thanks for the pic Forced. I'm thinking that it might be a better choice to work out custom manifolds vs a custom head.
