I live downtown....approx. 15 minutes from the Airport....I don't really know of any good eats near the airport, but perhaps one of us could pick you up/drop you off?

Great, pick a restaurant and I'll post it on the other thread(s).

If it's not inconvenient for someone to pick me up, then that would be great.

Otherwise, I'm sure I'll have no trouble finding the restaurant if I google the driving directions.

My girlfriend and I can pick you up. Would you prefer to be picked up at the location of your meeting, or at your hotel?

There's a place near where I live called LaFonda....It's a great Latino restaurant with a wide variety of Puerto-Rican, Mexican, Spanish, and Cuban food....or there's great sushi nearby.... We can have drinks. There's also my favorite coffee shop down the street, if you're into coffee after dinner...Whatever you think you'll be in the mood for is fine....

I'll e-mail you my cell number, and you should send me yours. That way we can easily hook up on Saturday afternoon.

Great. I'll PM you my cell #. I'll be leaving the Marriott as soon as the meeting ends at 5:00 p.m., and driving straight to the Westin so that I can check in before it gets too late.

Can you pick me up at 6:00 p.m. at the Westin?

I love sushi, but I'm not sure if the others who will be meeting us will enjoy sushi. La Fonda sounds like a better place to meet.

Please post the address and directions for La Fonda so that I can post it on the other thread in the Tech Forum for the other people who will be joining us.

We'll pick you up at 6, no problem.

The other "locals" probably already know where LaFonda is, but here's some directions just in case:

Hey guys,

Thanks for meeting up with me! I had a great time.

It was such a coincidence that Mike Mover's gf and Webwench's bf were old friends. What a small world.

I tell ya, you meet the nicest people from the Shop Forum.

Hey, bro....great to finally meet you as well! Thanks for a wonderful dinner.

I'm glad Webwench was able to make it too! Better late than never, eh?...

Since we discovered that she and I have a mutual friend, I guess I'll we'll be hanging out again in the near future. What a coincidence, huh? It is indeed a small world.

You're welcome in Atlanta anytime. Next time we'll see if we can round up a few more of the locals for ya'.

Mike

Hey, it'd be great to meet some of the others next time, like engatwork, El Presidente, Cap'n Couragous, etc., but it is all about quality, not quantity. I was more than pleased that you, webwench and your significant others were able to meet me for dinner.

With the twins, it's almost impossible to get out. It was a real treat for me.

I'll be back next year at about the same time, maybe sooner.

See ya then.

I would have been there if it weren't for the SD that I have been trying to finish up for a lady here in town. Got about 3 hours left and it should be good to go.

Sounds like ya'll had a good time with it.

Hey bro', all of the people on this forum are quality.

I'd love to meet up with you, but I'm beat. I've had two business meetings, held on two weekends back-to-back. I don't generally have to travel or work on weekends, and only do so when it is for a customer-sponsored-event.

Maybe next time, dude. Like I said, I'll certainly be back in Atlanta this time next year, possibly sooner.
