Talk about weird happenings. Oh well as long as all ends well. It's not that big a deal, but then I'm just a mellow old squid these days.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this, in the hopes to be able to attend. However, I cannot make any promises, as it is looking like family is going to eat up ALL of my vacation and personal time off of work this year.

While I do enjoy being around them, I do like to have some time to spend on other activities.

It's not like you need help finding the place.

Hey how's the little jewel doing, how's the motor in that baby. I saw the guy I rescued it from here awhile back, he had found all the documents on the car. I asked him what he did with all the stuff he found, and he said it went to the burn pile.

Yes, I received a motor(aux. fan motor??) in the mail while I was out of town.. My wife stuck it in with a pile of boxes. I found it a couple weeks ago. My wife received a call from a lady from UPS asking my wife if I received a motor. She answered yes and the UPS lady said she would call back the next morning and talk to me..Never happened, time passed and she did call back, She asked me to contact you. I sent you a letter because the address(JCG Services) was not on the internet. I WAS NEVER ASKED TO RETURN THE MOTOR AND CERTAINLY NOT BY YOU. UPS NOTIFIED YOU WHERE THE MOTOR HAD BEEN SHIPPED...IT IS ADDRESSED TO ME BY YOU. You never contacted me ever....Why Not. Old Navy give me your address and I will ship you your motor. I just want all to know the truth....Jim

Jim, I never expected it to actually get to someone from here. It sounded like it was sent to an unknown or wrong address and I figured it was lost by UPS (their tracking showed it as "in transit" weeks after it was shipped and they claimed it was the wrong zip for the address.) If I'd known there was a Jim Harris here that it actually got to, I would have just told UPS to leave everything alone and contacted you, sent you the $'s and had you send it to Old Navy. Never meant to look like I was accusing someone of getting something that wasn't meant for them and keeping it, but if something was addressed to you, you'd still have every right to do so. You're an honorable person though and I do thank you for wanting to help get it to the right person. LMK how much it costs to send on and I'll pay you double for your hassles. I'll also refund old navy and maybe pick up the motor at the GTG.

No Problem-Just A Opportunity

TomJ, I will send it on to OldNavy and I don't want
any extra. I do appreciate your message. You are very gracious. I can
understand why UPS was tracking the box for a period
of time. The UPS Data sheet is not on the box and they
must have figured out that I had the box from tracking
all that you had shipped about the same time. That is
why they called me and asked if I had received a
motor. Their is no problem and I don't think that
OLDNAVY expects you to eat the costs of repairing that
motor. I really do appreciate this letter from you.
Looking forward to seeing you this spring...Do you
have any parts for a 124. Your New Friend Jim

TomJ I don't need a refund as I had told the guy I sold the car to that I had the motor on order to replace the original and I would include it with the sale of the car.

Hey looking forward to meeting both of you guys, this GTG is really going to be really kool.

Damn, I wish that they would have given you those docs. Oh well. As for the car, I haven't touched it in a while. I ended up needing to take a medical leave of absence from work, and am still fighting with my worthless employer to get paid for it. As of right now, I am still out four weeks of pay. I didn't dare to go outside and touch the car while on the leave, due to the way I was being treated, regarding the medical leave. Once "back to work," I had to reschedule a trip that was planned for October, so I took off to Key West on the Goldwing. After getting back from the Key West ride, I was laid out for a week with a severe cold. I then spent the following two weeks, catching up with everything that got behind while I was sick. I then took another trip to Colorado to visit family and have Christmas early. I got back Wednesday evening after driving through a solid 300 plus miles, out of 750 on snowpacked and icy roads. The Prius still has ice caked on it even today, from that drive. My work schedule since getting back home, has been nothing short of insane. I have more crap that I have to do this weekend, so I won't get a chance to mess with it again. I've been in need of new furniture for the last several years. I've finally found some that fits my requirements, and will be purchasing it, and bringing it home. Hopefully, I'll find somebody dumb enough to "remove" the old stuff from my front yard for free. Good news is, that I'm going back to working evenings again on January 9th, for three months. This'll give me the needed free time to turn attention back to the car, and finally get something else done on it. Needless to say, I'm itching to get back to working on the old beast.

The engine bay at least is nearly finished with the removal of the 20 plus years of caked on oil and gunk, and I got rid of that tie wrap hood latch puller, replacing it with the proper handle. I've got a list of things that I need to do, and will be including rolling in a new timing chain. I had the car running a while back, and did hear it making noise then. I should have a big enough list, to get the free shipping out of fastlane.

Whether I go or not is still up in the air. I will work on my dad and try to make time over the next month and see if I can do it. I am hoping so it would be a really cool road trip!
