Cool...the meeting place is actually right next to the cheap diesel pumps in Troutdale, for those of us running dino. Looking forward to it...and here's to good weather ...if there is such a thing in the PNW in March

It looks like we are going to have a good turnout. I'm expecting 15 cars so far. I'll have to bring nametags.

Rats, after all my initial excitement, this Sunday won't work for me, too little time to take this long a trip (I would be coming from North of Seattle) and I still haven't purchased new tires....well, there's always next year.... I'm such a procrastinator, maybe by 2008 I'll finally have fixed the passenger side windshield wiper too, and hooked up the radio (but who really needs that since the engine sounds so nice)

Hope you all have fun & please post pictures

No kidding! Wow! I am coming in my rental car… Most likely a GM product. Can I still enter in the giveaways?

We can leave about 12:00 or so and go grab something to Eat, then head to the dam. I'll try to arrange a tour starting about 2:00

After the dam tour we can go on another drive or shoot the breeze, and those who need to leave early can head out.

Make sure you bring $1 in cash (at least ) to cross the "Bridge of the Gods"

I'll post this same info on the first post of this thread. Hope to see you there!
Just thought it worthwhile to bump & repeat the plan

FYI, L&C State park -- that's the lot borderd by the scenic Hwy & the train tracks, right?

Well the big day is almost here. It looks like we will have some good weather.

To get to the meeting place take the Crown Point Hwy exit 18 to Lewis And Clark State Park/Oxbow Regional Park, then turn Left on the Crown Point Hwy. The parking lot will be the first left once you have crossed the railroad tracks.

See you all there!

My sister should be there with her 77 240D (w123).
I can't make it, I have too much to do in Seattle tomorrow.

We had a great turn out with 15 cars and 30 people in attendance. Thanks again to Henry and the folks over at Schuman automotive for the prize donations. Everybody in attendance got a prize (or two).

I'll get some pictures up here this evening.

Pat and I made it back about 9:20pm (After a slight detour). We had a great time but a little disappointed we had to leave before the trip down the historic Columbia highway. I was also quite happy to find out my car had very little blow by in comparison to others . I was thrilled to see door prizes and amazed at the turn out. We had over 15 cars at one point but that dwindled to about 12 at the dam. We even saw a KIA Benz wanna be that I'm sure some one will post a picture of.

I managed to get 25.44 mpg on winter diesel which is consistent with my mileage since my last modification and could have done the trip on a single tank . I also did some oxidizer cat maintenance by briefly hitting triple digits on a certain instrument in the center of the console. It helped blow some of the carbon out. I can't wait until the next one. Maybe we could do a benz BBQ.

BYOB ( Bring your old Benz) of course
