ne gtg

I am game to go to any of these gtg's, 200 miles or so I will make it a weekend like I did for the Maryland gtg last year at John Heff's, a very large multi state gtg is a good idea and I think everybody is on the right track trying to plan this one early enough to have a huge turn-out. I think I was the only one to show up at colt state park last sept. but none for the wear I toured newport and had a good time. 2 months planning should be enough time to work out even some of the small details. I am also a home brewer and if I know far enough in advance I can brew some up for the occasion.

I don't get it. Thought we were having a GTG today...I'm sitting here, in a parking lot, waiting for you guys. I'm sitting in Holyoke, Mass, watching Geese, in the field. Where the heck are you all? I've got the food here, grill, Burgers, Volleyball net, Beer, and a few single, and willing ladies for the single guy members. Where are you guys. I'm here with three mercedes, and my Lambo....Did I get the date wrong? Did you have it yesterday?

Tax write off? How does that work? Sounds like an idea if I can time everything right.

Take the receipt, for the fuel and keep it. When tax season comes around, add the fuel cost into your deductions for the year. Say you commuted somewhere for a school project, or a Mercedes GTG..The fuel receipts work for me as a deduction. I spend the money of course, but get to save more at the end of the year, instead of paying out so much to Uncle Sam. In 2006, I bought trucks, simply to creat a tax write-off. The problem is that, in buying trucks, and having them on the road, I actually make more money anyways..Kind of a vicious circle. Next year, I need to buy twice as many trucks, and so on. That's how, and why a lot of these huge companies, even become so huge, to begin with. Swift, JB Hunt, Schneider, Werner, all of them.

Hey Young,
You should keep all of your receipts from everything anyways. I even keep my movie ticket stubs...,I mean everything. Itemize as much as you can. All of this stuff, Clothes, meals, rent for shop, and board. Everything is tax deductable. I've learned the hard way. Now, I'm becoming very good at it. Even fast food receipts, have a seperate envelope. I do taxes Quarterly now also, instead of yearly.

I called Mt. Tom today...

and they were closed. So, I left a message. Hopefully someone will get back to me soon. I just need a date, so please, lets pick one!
I really have no preference, but the later it is , ie, not in May (as Im still in school) the happier I'll be.
That said, Ill be there no matter when it is, seeing as I live pretty close.

PS- the sooner we pick a date, the sooner it gets into a Sticky!

ANy time in June, will work for me, as long as I've got notice..NOT MEMORIAL DAY weekend though. There won't be a very good turn out if we do. I mean, a lot of people go away, or do a family thing..or something.

Question All for June 9 at Mt. Tom in W.Mass say "aye"

According to our's and the "other" forum consensus, it seems like early June is a good time for this whole shindig to go down. They have an "other time" option but thats a but too ambiguous right now.
As far as location, someone over there made a great interactive map. (W.Mass is still centrall located IMHO, as one guy is from Nova Scotia and another from Pittsburgh!!)

What say ye?

can someone post a note "over there" to let them know that we are voting?

Let's cement this thing and get a sticky made already. I will be in the Mass DCR's grill so we can reserve the field/parking area, will scope it out and report back.

Ben

Wow, this is gonna be huge..! I'm pretty psyched already. Just hoping to have everything squared away with my cars at event time. I should have something all set. I'd love to show up with a few, as I said. As long as I have drivers for them. Who wants to drive my Countach up from Ct..? I think I'll drive my 560 up, with my girlfriend.

Lets just call it for the 9th at that place in MA. Decision time, that sounds like the most reasonable location and best date to me.
