seems Chadd has an excelent spread. Considered some appitizers - but didn't want to challenge the oven

So - some home made chocolate chip cookies are on the way Saturday. (They will be fresh, as they ain't made yet)

Head gasket is on and everything is working properly! with one exception... i'm going to be driving deuce and a half all day long Apparently the flexible bit on the exhaust broke and WOW is my car loud right now....I like hearing the turbo but this is a bit ridiculous so please do be kind tomorrow. (I'm hoping to get it sorted on Tuesday)

Are we doing prizes again? I'm guaranteed to win "Loudest diesel"

I hope you all have a great time. I wish I could be there. Where are you going to put all those cars, Chad?

And I am expecting to see some great pictures of the event.

Hello folks, just wanted to say thanks for a great afternoon/evening. It was a great way to wrap up my vacation, and I think it might have been the prettiest day of the year. I'll post a few pictures later.

The "back to reality" item: After I got home last night from an absolutely perfect drive, I noticed a small puddle under the car and found oil seeping out from where the torque converter and engine join ... the rest of the engine looks nice and dry after a wash Friday, but jet black oil is oozing out from there. I had noticed it was a bit wet back there right before I left for London, which was new, it has never had oil there. So something blew I guess. *sigh* ... it was driving so smoothly ... and it looked so pretty (to me!).
Anyhow, thanks all, for a great day!!!

That was a great time! Chad had great food, plenty of parking ideally suited for a car show, and lots of interesting vehicles and people. It was great to meet everyone, and my thanks to Chad and his wife for hosting the gathering and feeding us all!

Seeing such great examples of other MBs, I have been spending the entire day trying to make my car slightly more presentable!

Another terrific GTG! Thanks again, Chad and Raquel. You guys are the best hosts. I'll post some pictures after I find my camera.

First, huge thanks to Chad and Raquel for hosting the meet!

Second, it was great meeting everyone and seeing some old friends!

Third, not surprisingly, some people are just as annoying in person as they are on the forum... (Fulcrum...) J/K, it was great to meet you too.

Loved chatting with everyone and I hope I didn't run my mouth too much. I get excited talking shop and sometimes get carried away!

I had a horrible trip back to the motel in F-burg, Va... It was a 3.5 hour trip that turned into a 6 hour trip!

1. Went the wrong way on I 276 and ended up in freakin' New Jersey!

2. Ran into driver confusion and a traffic jam somewhere in Maryland when some numbnut tried to go through the toll booth with an oversized boat!

3. The last straw: I 495 around DC was CLOSED about 10 minutes before I arrived just after midnight resulting in a 1 hour idle and crawl fest and a detour that added another hour to my trip.

Lukily, I had just loaded up my CD changer with a bunch of PVD and I had a rolling rave going on the whole trip back to keep me awake.

Speaking of which, Chad, I left my entire CD collection in your shop so if you could collect that some time, that would be great.

Thanks again everyone, great time!

I have it safe right here. I'll ship it ASAP. Send me a shipping address.

Great pics guys! I fully intended to take more photos, but I kept getting sidetracked.

It was great to see everyone. Thanks for making it a great event! We hope to see you all again next year (or before).

Here's my meager selection of photos:

Question Pictures

Here are some of my photos. Evan conducting his class on how to both supercharge AND tubocharge your Benz.

Mistress, Anton, and Matthew.

One nice-looking Black SEC.

And a few of the thirty-some Benzes that showed up.

Great job, Chad. You give good GTG!

There were awards,

Of course. We voted on best interior and people's choice. There were also awards for most modified and farthest traveling participant.
