4 weeks, there's that push I need to get my baby back on the road!

Very cool aerial photo's, where / how did you get them?

Google maps just happened to be updating the aerial satellite images that day. The street level view image is still several years old.

I know! My wagon is currently apart in my garage getting a new head gasket. I think I'll be pushing it out for the gtg. I can't imagine getting it done sooner due to the tools I'll need to borrow/rent.

lol, for me its turbo, cooling system, fuel system, throttle, oiling, ect. Plus the fact that im not sure if the engine runs.

I wonder how many of us are in the same boat year after year after year?

Not a single one of these GTGs you host, has my car ever been actually running 2 weeks prior. For me, thats part of it, the drama of trying to get it done, followed by hundreds of miles on a not fully tested vehicle in one of the busiest parts of the country.

That's pretty cool. I have a spare W124 sedan seat back. If I could only weld up a frame for it!(plus I already skinned the bottom portion)

Well, it looks like I'm riding shotgun with Dan (miawesty) again this year. I'm not quite sure if I can get my S600 together enough for us to drive or if we'll end up in his CLS or new ML. my '06 E350 may simply be the fail safe if it comes to mileage issues! see you guys in a couple weeks!

Where is everyone staying?

Ask mrelbe. He gets amazing deals every year. Last year he had a whole suite for like $35 a night IIRC.

In addition to the usual last minute rush to get the car in shape, I'm trying to finish another "show and tell" project...

If I wanted to I could give away shifts and drive up and then drive back to FL..... it's tempting.
