What are you saying Joe? Do you want to? I want you too. Would Megan join you? What's with this tease of a post?

nah, she has to work and stuff. I would have to give away a few shifts as well, plus I do need new tires...

One of these years I'll make it.

Nah - don't drive up. Fly up, regale me with tales of Windermere (I was just about to move out there when I got transferred back up to NY), buy Gretta from me & drive back down. :-) See, you'd not have to give away any shifts on Friday, think of the money you'd save. ;-)

I apologize and I don't want to steal the thread away from Chad. But if anyone was thinking of getting a w123/w126 steering box from me I sure would be happy to bring them. MUCH easier and cheaper than shipping those 30lb monsters.

And if you have cores, I'd love to take them off your hands!

Man, I can't believe how close it is!!!

No need to apologize. I would hope everyone takes advantage of being able to help each other out with parts, advice, help, etc. Every year there's been at least one car that leaves running better than when it arrived.

Unhappy Not making it......

Chad.

I just don't see any way possible for me to make it there this year. I was hoping I'd have the Ponton and trailer deals sealed. I could deliver the Ponton and drop the trailer en route to you place in my project truck.

And it not because the buyers and I haven't done our work; I mean even if I had the Ponton and Trailer deals sealed, my diesel Dakota is without AC at present. I would be deaf from the wind noise if I drove up there with the windows down.

Maybe my presence will permeate from your very nice looking 300SDL.

I think now it would be about 10 or so. We could have called it a tie.

Got my baby back together yesterday so no reason it won't be at the GTG!

Looks like I'll be running a Benz parts adoption service at Chad's GTG. A local Benz hoarder has sold his last car and is getting out of the (hoarding) biz. He's planning to dispose the of high dollar stuff (euro headlights, good wood trim, etc.).

Next Thursday I'm picking up the remaining items and planning to bring them along to Chad's in an effort to help others and save them from being scraped. Not certain if I'll have time to inventory it before the GTG but I'll do my best.
