My daughter has a 1978 280SE.Anyone have the fuse list for her car? we are having starting problems.I just replaced 2 relays trying to make sure there is fuel pressure. It would start momentarily with starting fulid so I figured it was a fuel problem.well after replacing the 2 relays now it won't start w/starting fulid.i use it sparingly..thanks for any advice.. Todd

I contacted another member who may have the fuse chart.
There are two possible MB part numbers for this fuse chart, each is $4.00 at the dealer.
MB# 1165450700
MB# 1165450900

My best guess is you are wrestling with at least two issues now:
#1. Corrosion on the female and/or male relay pins that you disturbed = sand paper is your friend.
#2. Fuel pump cut-off relay bad or corrosion refer to #1.

The Fuel pump cut-off relay has been superseded to MB# 0015450705

Thank you Whunter,I too am a Red/green fan.... So, where is the fuel pump cut off relay? The relays I replaced were in two different spots.one was in the fuse box and the other was under the dash above the brake pedal. I will do the sandpaper trick and see what happens.i'm having a friend over this weekend and I hope to "Chase some wires"and see if we can figure this out.Its a great car..as long as its running haha..Thank you,Todd

Thank you again, When I checked the fuse box with a test light(key on)the #1 was empty,5,7,9,11,13,12and 14 had no power.I was hoping that one of them might have to do with fuel, But alas no....Couldn't get my helper up here so i will have to wait.I will try the sandpaper trick though.Being a inventor of sorts ...why hasn't someone come up with a wire brush built like a pipe cleaner?? would be perfect to clean out the female part of the relays.... so thanks for all the info Whunter.Happy Trails,Todd
