WTB-feeler for Texas trip

i may be headed to DFW area for family reasons in the next week or two. i want to buy a car there to drive back here. i've seen some on here that are around that area but i would also consider non-mercedes cars as long as the potential is there. not looking to spend 10k but anything from free up to say 8k as long as it will make it back here. let me know what you find.
thanks
gregg

I have the same color grey - usually those came with blue interiors. A black one would be super cool. With 115k miles for only $7000, that car will be gone by Thursday. Great buy if it checks out.

I've got an 87 Champagne 300SDL and also a 2000 Dodge Dakota, 4BT, 4x4, Crew Cab. Which one do you want to drive to Dallas and then home?

Southwest Airlines just started service to Memphis. I just checked flights. On November 25th, you can catch a one way flight from Philly to Memphis for $161. I'd be happy to meet you at the airport.

I just sent you a PM with some more details.

How about $4500 for the nicest road run to Texas you'll ever have? In return I would like a redoubled effort on the SE to sort it out and dibs to be first offerer. I'm overseas for another week but back Sunday before Turkey Day

Memphis area Craigslist

EDIT --- 11/16: Actually I do know "about" the 1987 300TD. I called about it and posted it over on the Craigslist alert thread. I haven't seen the car nor driven it though.

I know nothing about any of these cars. Here's a few once you get to Dallas and have wifi again:

1987 Mercedes 300TD *RARE*

1984 Mercedes 300 D-Antique

1979 Mercedes Benz 300 SD

panZZer --- obviously, you didn't hang out with this diesel head when you were in the Memphis area. Let me know when you are coming thru next time.

Hogweed definitely has to go thru Memphis to get home and we have LOTS of rust free stuff in this neck of the woods. I've got several things to show him.
