I am posting a w124 1992 300d 2.5 for sale for an 80-year-old widow who is moving out of state to live with her son. She is the original owner, and it has been serviced at the dealer and by an independent Mercedes shop here in Memphis. The car has never been in an accident. It is a 702 Smoke Silver with a palomino interior. Car has 148,563 original miles on a working odometer. The interior is in great shape but does have minor headliner issues that are common to w124s, but wood and MB-Tex, dash and floors are extremely clean for a 29-year-old car. The car has been garaged since new, and paint is in decent shape. Paint does have the typical defects of a 29year old car, but there is no clear coat failure and is certainly above average. Bridgestone tires, while not new, have plenty of tread life and I do not see any cracking. The 602 engine is extremely clean with no signs of oil leaks or turbo problems. Transmission is crisp and shifts through all the gears well.
All being said, I believe that this would make for an excellent daily driver for someone looking for a dependable, well cared vehicle that has a lot of life left in it. it would also make a great car for a young driver/college student due to the weight and safety it provides. The lady is asking $8000 for the car, but is willing to look at a serious reasonable offer. I would purchase the car myself, but I am car poor as it is!
