Blackstack,
Thanks for your correction. A Moot Point! I love the forum, but I cannot believe people spending the time to be so critical over a $5,000 car. You would have thought it was a $50,000 + Porsche! Glad I held out on the price. The new owner called me this afternoon to let me know that he enjoyed the drive home and loves the car. It is a pleasure to deal with a person that does not waste your time nit picking a 29-year-old used car and appreciates the effort you made. What is even better, I was able to sell him a car he really wanted and help an elderly family friend that was in a bind. -Tom |

Sounds like a fair price. If I were looking for one, I would pay that if it had been dealer maintained, etc....

I'm late on this thread, but I have to agree with shertex. I had a '91 300D which I loved and it gave us almost 15 years of solid joy. Always fired instantly down to 15F without the block heater. Always gave 30mpg around town and was sper easy to work on. The rear suspension rusted away and my health prevented me repairing it. I ended up buying a 06 E350 which is a paperweight and will be sold or scrapped soon. I wouldn't consider a W124 D Vs a 06 W211 Gas in similar condition for any reason! Wish this W124 D had been available when I needed something like it.
