check out what this Japanese guy did to his E500. He made it so his light only shines in the upper portion of his reflector, and not the lower portion by using an aluminum shield to block the light from the lower portion...check it out:

Hmm... but why?

On a side note, having spent several months in Japan, it is incredible how Japanese MB owners trick up their cars. I think more than half must have some sort of Brabus/AMG/Lorinser body/trim parts, 90% have upgraded wheels and many are lowered and have aftermarket exhausts. It's great eye-candy, but a little sad that there's so little wide-open road to open these beasts up!

Wow it sounds like the Japanese treat their MB's like the Americans treat their hondas.
But those are cool lights.
Does any one know of some good lights for a 94 124
ones that are not to expensive and put out a nice bright wite light (none of that fake looking xenon that the hondas have)

OH MY!!! How can he see during the night?? Since he blocked the lower part of the headlight, he blocked most of the lights...... Hm.....

Looks pretty cool. If he is driving around Toykyo at night he doesn't need headlights to see. Last time I was there all the neon and bright light signs made the place as bright as day into the wee hours of the morning.

I would think that those lights are illegal in the U.S,or Europe. I am surprised that M-B tunning is so popular in Japan. When I was in Europe I saw many M-B's that were "tricked out". However the people that buy those kinds of cars in Europe and Asia, dont really buy them for the reason most Americans buy them. Most Americans buy them for status, and don't really give a damn about the heritage, performance, quality etc of the cars. All they want to do is impress the next door neighbor.

E60 club eh?? Most of those are 500E wannabes as far as I can see......but I have to admit that they take great care when modify their MBs!!

Japan probably has the highest AMG(Brabus)/PPL ratio than any other countries...

Also take a look at this Brabus modified W210 http://www.ne.jp/asahi/club/e60/ka1/9.html....not a bad looking one(but why the heck did he stick on the "V12" and "7.3S" on the car??)

hey, the headlights they got on, those are Euro glass headlights right? and the clear corners are also glass? or are they plastic?

Philips and Hella both sell replacement H4 bulbs with Xenon gas inside that put out about 30% more light at stock wattage. IMHO the easiest (and cheapest) mod you can make for driving safety.

The second black W124 you posted(with S600 grill) is a E420 with AMG air-dam and Sport Suspension. You can tell it's a E420 because of its headlight(compare it to the first, REAL E500 you posted above...notice the inner light hosting?? E500/500E ones are chromed with clearer glass).

Also notice the passenger side mirror. It's changed to full size mirror(same as driver side)...
