Enough about wheels!
Saw this on e-bay and thought the pictures might come in handy for anyone building a 300-24 version. Shows some of the breathing setup.

I've got some time off this week and want to do some more work on the TT conversion.
I think I've got the right idea with the air filter but just want to check before I cut any metal. From what I understand I need to cut a hole in the inner wing in the position shown on the attached picture. Does this look like the right amount of metalwork to remove?

Also did anyone ever figure out the problem with the vertical air pipe next to the radiator fouling the aircon pipes? (second picture)

I dont have the same car but i have the same engine and space issues. My suggestion is since your bumper is bigger than mine(w210) get a CXracing or CoolingPro one sided intercooler and cross the piping over the engine like normal but use a separate filter(s) for the vavle cover breather holes. Or you could use a small section of silicone piping.

My installation is coming together.
Q. Where does the little pipe from the electronics that measures boost pressure connect to?

jfilipcic 07-07-2008 08:02 AM

What is everyone doing regarding their exhausts? The supplied exhaust does not use a catalytic converter. And considering the air pump has been taken away, I'm thinking passing an emissions test is going to be somewhat difficult. Any suggestions?

Consider using two Magnaflow 59954 which are spun metal latest technology high flow cat.
Knockoff of the more expensive Random Technology.

You'll have to stagger them in the pipe or else they won't have enough side clearance.

Inexpensive about USD $115.00 each.
Make sure you weld a bung in the pipe to accept a wide band O2 sensor.

e320_Coupe 07-07-2008 05:47 PM

Did you make up an X pipe from the downpipes to the cats so that the O2 sensor 'sniffs' all 6 cylinders?
