Hopefully around 2 weeks before 1st start....then need to break the rebuilt motor in. Needs headers/exhaust, and fluid connections (on order).

Here is a link to the build thread on the 190 forum that I started back in June of last year.....lots of pics and details there. I'll post new progress over here as well in this thread

542 HP in a 190? Wow. That sounds like it'll require a lot of work to keep it on the road. Looks great so far. Good job!

No, thats split between the 190e and the C43 in the pic (hence the 16 cylinders part)

Doh! Well, I knew you didn't have sixteen cylinders in one car, but I failed to carry that over to the HP part. Still sounds like a lot of HP divided between those two cars.

Haha....I know....one major problem there is simply amassing all the supplies needed to complete the system. My old A/C system was inop, and had been for probably almost 8 years.....so lines, condensor, etc would all need replacing in addition to the compressor which was the reason the system wasn't working in the first place. It actually wouldn't be a difficult retrofit, but expensive for a project that has already proven to be anything but cheap

True...I'm really looking forward to comparing it to my C43. On paper it should be faster, but it will definitely sound nicer

Do that in Phoenix, AZ in July and you will put convection ovens to shame.

Cant wait to see pics of the headers, off and on the benz engine.
Great work.

Car is nearly done, just a few last bits. I'm really going to be pushing to get it done by the end of Nov and on the road again. We will see!

Edit: there have been some updates since I last posted here, check the last few pages of this thread to see more. Headers and exhaust most notably are complete.
