Hey guys. Replacement engine is over @ Performance shop getting leak-down test & comp' test prior to any fab work & install. Engine was out of a stolen, burnt out 90' 300SE

so, have my doubts. Had to swap PAS pump & trans lines as they were not interchangeable. New Fan Belt & Rotor.
What puzzles me is, the old engine had Turbo drain hole in 'block', NOT sump? I gather this is due to large oil capacity? 6Ltrs? It was originally in sump & then patched & relocated to block apparently to keep it above sump oil level.
What location did you guys use? Really need advice here as I'm over this engine replacement thing @ moment
