I have been following the" ASR Defeat Switch", for some time.
I would be very interested in getting one myself.
Please let me know when and how can I get one.

Another run of switches....

I just received the last of the components necessary to fabricate more of these kits. If you'd like one, email me directly. Thanks!

Hey Michael,

I sent you money for the ASR defeat switch almost 3 month ago, and have still not received anything......

Ms. V-Max

I do apologize for the delay, but you know that I warned you in advance that you'd be waiting a while, since all my belongings were boxed up & carted off-site for several months (winter's harsh weather caused 3 pipes to freeze & burst in my house, causing some $35k in damage and leaving me without furniture for nearly 3 months). However, I did mail yours nearly a month ago, so I guess I have to assume that it's "lost in the mail". That being the case, I'll send you another kit ASAP, and should the first one show up then return it to me.

Also, please re-send me your address, so I can ensure it gets mailed correctly (and I'll send it Certified this time).

I've got 6 people on the current build list, and parts for 10 kits either on the way or in stock...I plan to build the kits this weekend. Anyone else interested?

How would the switch work on a S350D with ASD?

Dunno

I have no idea how it'd work-perhaps post the Part Number for the ASR module in the CAN (big black box where a battery normally resides - pop it open with the 4 hex screws through the cover) and if it's the same, then fabulous.

If you've got a digital camera, post a picture of the inside of your CAN box.

We'll get to the bottom of this...

ASR is very different from ASD.

In short, the ASR defeat will not do ASD defeat.

ASD=No ASR defeat

Neil's correct - my bad, I didn't notice that you had ASD vs ASR. Sorry!

I wouldn't think you'd want to turn off ASD, though.

ASD is, IIRC, a fancy hydraulic limited slip that allows 100% lockup at speeds below 20mph. When the computer senses one wheel spinning, it hydraulically locks the rear diff (externally, I think). Kind of a neat setup but not the best for performance applications because it's not "always on" or instant. It was used mainly on diesels from 1990-up, I think... (?)
