When I was working at Ralliart in Asia we seen those engines.
AMG worked on that project for less than 2 years before being sold to Mercedes. Forgot to mention though that the engine and block are stamped AMG also. The engine pictured only shows the cover.

"Mercedes should buy it and promptly destroy it."

Do you have something against rare performance cars that aren't made by Mercedes? This was a limited production Mitsubishi Galant. Different from the VR-4 though, a very cool and rare all wheel drive turbocharged sedan. And yes, it was tuned by the SAME AMG company that Mercedes Benz acquired.

Maybe if you should actually try driving a turbo DSM one day.

Thumbs up

Good morning, I happen to own one of these VR4's, if anyone is in the Bay area, I would love to give you guys a ride in it.
Although in these rough times, you guys need to buy the gas.
Back to the topic though, the AMG version really was designed with the real deal, AMG. Pretty highly sought out car, to this day. Heck, if I could afford it, I'll get one and turbo charge it.

BTW, duckmuck and mti, cool link. Thanks

What the heck is this??!!

Hey MTI: Good comeback to BrianH. You are right on. What does he know about rare, esoteric Benz models? He's probably got a boring C-class wheezer that used to belong to a politician or something.

whoa! please, no personal attacks on a fellow Benz fan! there was no venom in my post to BrianH, just making sure that the old post-war "made in Usa" myth got straightened out!
