Inside Trunk 73 450SL

Anyone know what the original color the inside of the deck lid and the exposed metal parts in the trunk were painted? Same as exterior? Also, the insert on the deck lid (behind the frame)? The interior of mine is all flat black. Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen what I believe to be original 107's with these areas like yours, black, kind of a flat black, maybe a bit towards dark gray. Not like typical "new body part" dull black. I think you would find other areas in the trunk, behind trim panels, painted the same color, also under the carpetting, etc.

The trunk paint color was called "deep dark gray, mat" and was Mercedes code DB164. Newer cars used a lighter gray.
